Regarding the Use of Specialized Software for Editorial Process Management
In order to ensure the transparency, verifiability, and proper documentation of the editorial process, the editorial board of the publication has implemented a digital manuscript management system, Manuscript Management System (MMS) NVS, integrated with the official cloud infrastructure of the Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine based on Google Workspace.
Manuscript submission is carried out exclusively through the electronic system. All stages of manuscript processing—from the submission of materials to the final editorial decision—are automatically recorded in an electronic event log, capturing the date and time of each respective action.
The system provides:
Automatic registration of submitted materials;
Assignment of a unique manuscript identifier;
Organization of a double-blind peer review procedure;
Recording of the decisions made by the editor and reviewers;
Preservation of the editorial process history in an electronic audit log.
Thus, the editorial process is conducted using specialized software that ensures the proper recording and documentation of interactions between authors, editors, and reviewers at all stages of manuscript processing.
Manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Board of the “Criminal and Executive System: Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow” academic journal that fail to comply with these requirements, will not be accepted for review and will not be published.
